FLOODING: South Asia

A number of our South Asian partners (in India, Nepal and Bangladesh), have alerted us to recent, devastating flooding which has, according to the Red Cross, affected more than 50 million people. Many have lost everything they owned, including their shelter and food stores. Landslides in certain areas have brought travel and transportation of goods to a standstill.

Some food relief has been provided, in Bangladesh by the government for example, but the amount provided has been insufficient. In Nepal, our partner has indicated that 110 families in their mission field need food relief and emergency shelter. He has requested $5,000 to cover the cost of this initial response.

Advancing Indigenous Missions would like to provide some assistance through our partners to those affected by the flooding. Would you consider supporting this relief project today?
