An LTS is designed to encourage and train indigenous missionaries and pastors in their home country. Generally, each LTS is held over a three- to five-day period, facilitated by a short-term team of pastors, teachers, and laypeople (or "vision teams").

AIM, in collaboration with local indigenous ministries, works to locate areas where training and encouragement are most needed. Usually, 50 to 200 representatives from local ministries and churches are invited to attend an LTS. Speakers address topics relevant to both the particular area's needs as well as general ministry encouragement.

In partnership with Advancing Native Missions (our sister agency in the U.S.), we have held over 80 conferences ministering to 13,000 indigenous missionaries. Specifically, AIM has been a part of seminars held in countries such as India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Philippines, Peru, Honduras, and Uganda.
