WHAT WE DO
Advancing Indigenous Missions exists as a link between indigenous mission groups and churches in the West. We believe that there are significant advantages with increasing this connection. The West will gain renewed vision for a determined worldwide mission with aggressive childlike faith in the power of the Holy Spirit. The Non-West will gain encouragement, teaching, and confidence.
CONNECTING WITH INDIGENOUS MISSIONS
How can you get involved? Our vision is to link Canadian believers to indigenous mission groups through:
1. Prayer
Effective mission only happens with persistent prayer. You can sign up to receive our monthly email prayer letters, join us at our office for our regular prayer meetings, and/or get to know indigenous mission groups and through a commitment to praying for them and their needs. Click here for more information on AIM prayer.
2. Overseas Trips
Internationally, AIM has focused primarily on coordinating Leadership Training Seminars for indigenous missionaries in their home region. Our vision is to bring Pastors and Bible teachers to share encouragement and sound teaching in the Word of God to strengthen the indigenous ministries. We also welcome believers who are interested in catching a vision of what God is doing through coming to visit, learn, and to serve.
3. Sponsorship of an Indigenous Mission
AIM urges you to consider support for indigenous missions as an opportunity to participate in what God is doing in the world today. Often our brothers and sisters in Christ serve faithfully on little or no support. Any commitment can go a long way in multiplying ministry efforts. Also, sharing in concern, prayer, and finances with indigenous missions generates vision, passion, love, and joy. We suffer and rejoice together (1 Corinthians 12:26). 4. Restoring Vision for Mission
Our team of presenters is available to encourage believers to meaningfully engage the Great Commission in churches across Canada. Our hope is to help rekindle the vision and passion for mission that is absolutely required.
5. Speak Up for Indigenous Missions
Do you sense a burden to advocate for indigenous missions? Some are called to speak up, to share, and connect. You could be a voice for indigenous missions in your home church and local area.
